Park Build Challenges

Hello Park Managers,

Building a beautiful Park that keeps your dinosaurs, guests, and scientists happy, all while balancing your finances, is no small task!

In this guide, we’ll give you five ideas for new and interesting Parks to manage and build. These five Park build challenges will take your creations in Jurassic World Evolution 2 to the next level!

The Never Built Franchise

What if the events of Jurassic Park had never happened? Build the franchised Parks that John Hammond dreamed of, like Jurassic Park Japan, and bring his dream to a reality.

Use the Jurassic Park building pieces and limit yourself to using the dinosaurs from the original film to create a truly authentic experience.

Rules:

  • Select a Square Sandbox level with a Temperate Biome.
  • Adjust the building preset to ‘Jurassic Park Buildings’, making it just how John Hammond would have imagined it in 1993.
  • Adjust your presets for Staff and Guests to ‘Jurassic Park Staff & Guests’.
  • For extra immersion, adjust the Colour Grading in the Environment settings to ‘Jurassic Park’.
  • It’s up to you to use the tools at your disposal to create the franchise Jurassic Park that never was!

Around the World

Keep things simple and focus on the single element of location when you’re building your next Park.

Wildlife thrives in its home environment so try creating a Park featuring dinosaurs from a specific area of the world, such as the USA or Germany.

Rules:

  • Pick a location and biome of your choosing for your sandbox Park.
  • Build your enclosures as normal and either synthesise new dinosaurs with the Hatchery or rescue wild dinosaurs with the response team to bring to your Park.
    • To stick to this challenge, only house dinosaurs whose fossils were found in that location e.g. If your Park is in the USA, it should only contain dinosaurs discovered in the USA.
  • Decorate with flora and fauna that meets your dinosaurs' comfort needs and fits with the biome you have chosen.
  • Make sure to build Response Teams and a Paleo-Medical Facility so the dinosaurs get the best possible care in their new home.

Create the Smallest 5-star Park possible

Create the perfect little 5-star Park all while keeping your resources as slim as you can!

Build the minimum number of facilities, spend as little as possible and take up as little space as possible, but claim those 5 stars for your Park.

Rules:

  • Build a Sandbox Park with the smallest area possible, using as few buildings as you can.
  • Ensure you have everything you need for your dinosaurs, staff and guests, including a Staff Centre, Arrival Point and Control Centre.
  • Use your Park Rating in the Management menu to highlight weak areas in your Park that need improvement, while keeping the Park area as small as possible.
  • Run your Park as you would normally and keep your numbers in the green, getting those five stars without going bankrupt!

Ski Resort

Transform snowy biomes into the perfect getaway for your guests... complete with roaming dinosaurs!

Use the ziplines and tracked tours to ferry Park guests around, through enclosures and habitats to their stay in the mountains.

Rules:

  • Build a Sandbox Park with an Alpine or Taiga biome, such as Oregon or California.
  • In your Environment settings, adjust the Decorative Foliage to ‘Current Biome’ and the Weather Level to ‘Infrequent Storms’.
  • Using the Terrain tool in the Decorations tab, raise areas of your Park to create hills and valleys that mimic a ski resort.
  • At the base of your Park, build Guest Amenities and a few Small Hotels to look like ski chalets.
  • Add Ziplines, Viewing Platforms and Tours that take guests around your dinosaurs' habitats so they can have a snowy safari!

A Sanctuary for the Animals

Let your guests see prehistoric species in their undisturbed, natural habitat by creating a Park with dinosaur welfare as the focus.

With minimal buildings and structures and maximum dinosaurs, build camouflaged galleries and gyro-spheres to allow your guests to quietly learn about these intelligent creatures.

Rules:

  • Start your sandbox Park with your preferred settings. We’d recommend working in Creative, so you have access to all buildings, attractions and decorative pieces.
  • Ensure you have built a Paleo-Medical Facility and a Response Building so your dinosaurs’ needs and wants can immediately be taken care of. As your range of dinosaurs grows, you’ll need more of these facilities to manage their requirements.
  • Build habitats for your prehistoric animals that will allow them to live in peace by adding hidden viewing areas like the Log Viewing Gallery.
  • Create separate areas for guests like the Innovation Centre to teach your guests all about dinosaur welfare.
