5 Park Design & Layout Ideas

There are so many possibilities when creating your Park in Jurassic World Evolution 2. Give these five Park design ideas a go and be inspired!

From hyper-realistic habitats to fun and entertaining themes, re-imagine your Parks over and over again as you build your very own Jurassic World.

When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth

Before Jurassic Park, there were just the dinosaurs – try to recreate the environments your dinosaurs would have inhabited millions of years ago.

Build a realistic habitat for your dinosaurs to live together in harmony (or not)! From plants, enclosures and hands off care, make everything as realistic as possible.

Rules:

• Adjust your Dinosaur Cohabitation settings. - ‘All Like’ will allow your dinosaurs to live in complete harmony, whereas ‘Normal’ will let your carnivorous dinosaurs target more vulnerable inhabitants.
  • If you want to give your herbivores a fighting chance at survival, switch on ‘Herbivores able to initiate fights’.
• Switch Dinosaur Comfort ‘On’ - This will give your dinosaurs more realistic needs that you’ll have to care for.
• Adjust Dinosaur Combat Frequency to ‘Normal’ - Fighting and hunting will be more regular with dinosaurs in the same habitats.
• To create a truly realistic experience, build this Park with as few enclosures as possible. With Dinosaur Comfort ‘On’, you’ll need to decorate with appropriate flora and fauna to keep your dinosaurs happy.

One Plus One

What Park would be complete without at least one of every single dinosaur? Your guests should leave your Park knowing about more than just the T. rex and Velociraptors.

Focus on creating a Park layout that allows your guests to view every dinosaur at your facility by utilising attractions like tours and ziplines.

Rules:

• Have at least one of each possible dinosaur in the biome – check out our Dinosaur Database to see all the dinosaurs available, including those added by DLC.
• Create your enclosures so each dinosaur has its own space to be comfortable.
  • Some species will need a companion to fulfil their Comfort needs.
• Build attractions such as Viewing Galleries & Platforms, and tours that take guests around your Park in a loop so they can see everything on offer.
• Build your Visitor Centre and an Innovation Centre at key points in your Park to teach your guests about each dinosaur.

Tiny Dinos

Good things come in little packages! Show off just how glorious these small dinosaurs can be in a Park dedicated just to them.

Just because these dinosaurs are small, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be treated with caution! Build a Park that keeps both these tiny dinosaurs  and your guests safe and happy.

Rules:

• Set up your Sandbox Park with your default settings, but making sure Research and Expeditions is set to ‘Off’.
• To synthesise your small dinosaurs in Creative, make sure you have built a Control Centre, Arrival Point and Hatchery.
• Once your Hatchery is built, filter the dinosaur species by ‘Small’ and synthesise your chosen dinosaurs.
• Now build your Park as normal but make sure to place lots of viewing stations for your guests to see these majestic tiny dinosaurs!

Dig Site Park

Understanding the dinosaurs of today requires understanding the dinosaurs of the past. Hire and fund your team of scientists to uncover everything they can at a dig site.

Create a Park with a focus on discovery and education! Make sure your guests can easily traverse your Park and there are plenty of viewing stations and research sites.

Rules:

• In your gameplay settings, ensure Scientists are turned to ‘On’.
• To keep your Scientists working around the clock to reach breakthroughs sooner, keep Scientist Unrest ‘Off’.
• Ensure Expeditions and Fossils is ‘On’ to allow your scientists to continue to innovate and make new discoveries. Then switch Research ‘On’.
  • With these gameplay settings, you’ll be able to randomise the available dig sites.
• Build plenty of Science Centres, Hatcheries and Expedition Centres so discovery and research can be the focus of your Park.

Science is Serious

Keep your dinosaurs away from prying eyes and focus on the preservation and research of these majestic animals in your highly important facility.

Create a Park with plenty of high-security fencing, gates and roaming response teams - your dinosaurs aren’t going anywhere!

Rules:

• Adjust the Weather Level to ‘Default Level Settings’ - any storms that come your way will test your enclosure security and your response teams if your dinosaurs become agitated.
• Build your Park using heavy fences, Emergency Shelters and Response Facilities for extra reinforcement.
• Your main job is to protect and take care of them so place as few guest areas as possible. Just enough to keep your Park out of the red and provide money for your Park!
